Thank you for choosing iFinCa – Smart FX Insights (the “Extension”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Data stored locally on your device

• Your preferred symbols and time-frames
• Extension settings (e.g., language, notification toggles)

This data never leaves your browser and is erased when you uninstall the Extension or clear browser storage.

1.2 Network requests

To deliver real-time market signals and curated news, the Extension makes HTTPS requests to our server (api.ifinca.app) and reputable news APIs. These requests include:

• Selected symbol identifier (e.g., EURUSD)
• Anonymous installation ID (randomly generated UUID for rate-limiting; contains no PII)

No cookies, advertising IDs, email addresses, or other personally identifiable information (PII) are collected.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide core functionality – render multi-time-frame signals, heat-maps, and news headlines.
• Improve the service – aggregate, anonymised statistics help us detect outages and forecast capacity.
• Prevent abuse – the anonymous installation ID allows basic rate-limiting to protect our infrastructure.

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or share any data with advertisers or third parties. Anonymised usage metrics may be processed by our infrastructure providers (e.g., AWS, Cloudflare) solely to perform the service.

4. Data Retention

• Local storage data – remains on your device until you clear it or uninstall the Extension.
• Server-side logs – retained for up to 30 days for operational and security purposes, then automatically deleted.

5. Security

All communications use TLS (HTTPS). We enforce least-privilege access, encrypt data in transit and at rest, and perform periodic code audits for vulnerabilities.

6. Your Choices

• Disable or remove the Extension at any time via chrome://extensions.
• Reset local data from the Options → “Clear Settings” button.
• Request deletion of any server-side data by emailing [email protected].

7. Children’s Privacy

The Extension is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. International Transfers

Our servers are hosted in the European Union. If you access the Extension from outside the EU, your data may be processed in the EU under GDPR-compliant safeguards.

We may update this policy to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. We will post any changes here and revise the “Last updated” date above.
